About
Lisa Baldwin | Clutter Coach and Professional Simplifier
I got interested in clutter because I had a lot of it.
My overstuffed life was suffocating, embarrassing and frustrating – I didn’t understand why, as a reasonably smart grown-up, I couldn’t just get myself sorted. After many years of false starts, I finally found an approach that worked and the results were astonishing. Sure, my house looked better, but it was much bigger than just getting rid of stuff.
As I cleared my clutter and simplified my life, I recovered my sense of self. I was calmer and more confident. I had more time, energy and attention for what mattered most to me. I became a happier person and a better mum as a result.
Through decluttering my own life, I uncovered a talent for helping others do the same. Since 2001, I’ve been coaching clients through the clutter clearing process with compassion, a sense of fun, and a keen eye for BS. I love every minute of it.
I’ve been interviewed as a clutter expert for articles in Next magazine, Sunday Star Times, NZ Herald, NZ Fitness and Parenting with Confidence, and as a guest on Viva FM.
I also co-founded the Australasian Association of Professional Organisers (AAPO) and served two terms as president. Not bad for someone with a tendency towards procrastination, distraction and general messiness!
